In 1983, the Aguilar
family moved to La Paz with the sole purpose of starting a
service oriented business.
|

Being a scuba diver
since 1965, it was just the natural move for Fernando, beginning
operations with a 22' panga (Baja 1, still in operation), and an
old 40 hp outboard engine, but with the Cantamar Project in mind
as the family goal.
|
|
|
After several years
of persistent dreaming and planing, construction started in 1994
with a boat ramp, a small office building and the compressors
house with the tank filling station, which in turn gave place to
the actual Hotel Cantamar Beach Resort & Marina, the family's
dream come true.

The
whole family is involved in marketing, administration and operations,
along with 32 young men and women who colaborate making sure you get
the best possible service. |

swimming pool makes you wish the day never to end.
Deep enough for scuba training, it sits among palm
trees providing shade and refuge for absolute relaxation sipping the coldest
Corona beer in town.
Our new sea-side restaurant, where Lucas and
Juanita take pride of reading your thoughts and preparing the most delicious
meals while you enjoy a cold drink watching the unspoiled bay view.
The swim-up bar is a favorite for the afternoon
recounts of the day's adventures, featuring large screen TV set with VCR, DVD
and stereo sound.
Marina Pichilingue is strategically located to
reduce the boat ride time and optimize your day for fishing, kayaking,
sailing, diving, snorkeling and any other water activity of your choice.
Our 35 slips can host boats up to 75 ft long, with
an average slip length of 35 ft.
Water and electricity available, as well as dry
storage for trailerable boats
