Just across the Mexican
border Rosarito Beach is only 18 miles from the border via the beautiful
Rosarito-Tijuana Scenic Road. A vacation in Rosarito Beach begins with a
drive along the Pacific coast of the great Baja peninsula, a travel
experience in itself.
Rosarito Beach is
probably the most user-friendly city in Baja. Year round, enjoy an
almost perfect climate with mild winters and balmy summers. There are
only three traffic lights in the entire city, and almost everything of
interest is in walking distance.
Shopping along Rosarito's
main street is the best place in Baja California to buy handcrafted
Mexican furniture. Stroll through the Mercado for arts and crafts,
leathers and silver or roam the miracle mile of pottery,
Guadalajara-cement statues, fountains, curios and rug and blanket
weavers in an interesting mix of roadside shops just south of town.
Rosarito Beach boasts
more than 85 quality restaurants serving international cuisine and
Rosarito Specialties. Almost a million lobsters are served in the
Rosarito coastal area each year. "Puerto Nuevo-style" is now a
world-famous synonym for the exquisite lobster offered in our local
restaurants. From traditional Mexican cuisine to the best Tacos you'll
ever eat, Rosarito means great food at every turn.
